Just wondering...
If there anyone who would like to see the post goal being bet by posting stuff?
 
i don't care before it became too greedy. i can handle 50 posts goal but more than that is impossible for me and none cares about posting. sometimes i feel like i an talking to myself

I enjoy posting Just most times i have no opinion on other posts so i feel like what i can post is too little, and as for my personal posts i hate making short posts so i wait until i have more information.

Oooops sorry about that... It's just... It's our dream to get that many posts a day.

It's cool to post short posts as long as they don't have just one sentence kiddo.
 
The main problem with publicly visible daily post goal stuff is that as Secret-san said, it feels too greedy, and might people make consider not to join as the result.
And remember that the goal is spread over a few active users currently, plus it sometimes comes over as an obligation to reach it rather than a goal.

I like to have more in it thouggh i hate short posts i'm sorry i just don't have it in me to do them.

I think its a cool feature but there is no reason to complete it since nothing really happens once we reach it. I don't know if its possible but it would be cool if it kept count of how many days in a row we reached the goal.

making it happen will do something? that would give us the motivation to post more. i don't think we have ever reached any goal with 100 posts

At least with this it will give us something to work for, see how long we can keep it going. Right now it just resets everyday nothing happens if we do or don't complete it.

something good for the user who contributed now is something i want as it would be me always. what do you have in mind?

A forum that is hidden from all the users except staff and nbf members...
Well it's not that great but I believe it is special. People who donate to forum get access to it.

Even before I joined, Clara and shaurya made a site. It's Naruto bleach fans aka nbf. It was popular and got more than 150k posts. Then they switched to forum and lost all those posts. Some people made accounts in the forum (AMF) and they were given a special status known as nbf Nevers, as that have been a part of nbf for more than 5 years.
There is no limit to donate. You could donate whatever the amount you want for the benefit of the site. In return, you would get a glowing username and access to the vip forum.
 

Of course I understand the desire to motivate existing people to post, but it doesn't help if you're scaring away any potential new registrants. ?

If you see that a board is getting 40 posts everyday, would you think it's an active site and sign up?
If so, that's what we are trying to do with that post goal.

In my book 40 posts a day is a very lively forum actually.
Small, but active (and manageable for those of us with a full time job).
