some stuff shouldn't be encouraged among peeps.
these things aren't good for public health. things like drugs, prostitution.
some manga actually show the life of peeps who indulge in these activities.
is that a good thing? how come no one raised any complaint against those anime?
may be @Sindar @Davis @MadaraUchiha @Kamikaze @Akhil @MelloLily @Mina can answer me?

its just an artist expressing themselves.
For example the same can be said about Movies that come out of Hollywood.

Drugs, Prostitution etc.

its not just anime that have that so do movies.

its nothing new, if they did not allow that we wouldn't have a lot of films due to that.

This is a sensitive subject.
I think they are doing that o create awareness and make others look at the world for what it is

Well, first of all, anime are rated by boards, etc., and advisories are issued regarding the suitable age-group which can watch these things..... Second, anime are not cartoons...... Just like books or movies, they sometimes try to reflect what's happening in this world, and drugs, prostitution are parts of this world...... There's a saying that prostitution is the oldest profession in the world, btw.....

Is not like no one don't raise any complaint against it, cauz it have people who are thinking as are you are right now, it's just of things go in this modern world.
In my opinion I don't like but then again I don't really look for those kinda of anime/manga to watch anyhow. Same thing goes for tv series nowadays.

In japan, there's actually this organization called the PTA (Parent Teacher Association). They're kind of known for protesting against certain animes that have "explicit" content. Gintama has been targeted by them a lot especially cause of some of it's sexual content (even though they rarely occur in gintama)

Other than that, I do see some people complain about it on the internet, in the west at least, but those people are a very small minority.

For me, I'm kind of an absolutist when it comes to "free expression". I don't think anything should be censored because of it's content. If people find it offensive, they shouldn't read it or watch it.

but most of the anime is for kids, teenagers bro.
they don't know better and under the influence of an anime, they might do something bad x(

Naw, most kids play violent video games but don't engage in violent acts. So I don't think it's an issue. Even so, it's the parents responsibility to keep up with what the kids are doing in their time lool.

Have you seen psycho pass second season bro?
In that peeps tend to given to their violent side, even when they know they are dealing with human lives.

Naw I only saw season 1. I didn't bother with the 2nd since I heard it was meh. Well it's only an anime so at least it doesn't happened that often in real life : P

come on man xD
we like anime because it is closely related to real life bro.
don't you agree in that?

i ain't trying to be all prim and proper bro but some anime are truly disturbing and that is getting to me.
the wickedness, gore everything is extreme.

Don't watch them then.

but i can't stop bro x(
i tried but i wanted to know what happens next and after watching it for sometime, i do complete that anime

It is a personal decision what to watch or not. I think with the proper rating system it is more than enough.
Don't let kids get material not meant to them but that aside, it is up to the individuals to watch gore and stuff if they so desire.

I agree with Sindar, education is key. People should be free to create and to choose. As it is, people are hoping others to cater to their own sensitivities instead of respecting the diversity and just avoid it themselves. In video games things are heating up for this kind of attitude. You have people not even wanting to export their games anymore to avoid the fire or the games get heavily edited for the western release and it is a darn shame.

Sorry, Sebastian. I think you probably finish the ones you're hooked on right now. Next time, check in more detail about the manga or anime before starting it. Most times it will describe what kind of things to expect.

Psycho-pass isn't that gorey either actually now that I think about it. The most gorey thing I've read is death tube. That shit is crazy, makes psycho-pass look like child's play, in regards to violence.

Well depends on what anime you're talking about. Some animes are more far away from real life than others.

sci-fi anime and other anime with supernatural content are not at all close to the real life.
Real life is found in slice of life genre and psycho pass is sci-fi anime. i don't get why we are talking about real life here.

Exactly.

Also one more thing is that psycho-pass isn't for kids. Psycho-pass is a seinen anime meaning that it's main audience is guys that are 17+. It's not a kids anime at all. Not that it really matters but I thought I'd just put it out there.
