Anime with false memories

Happened in Ghost in the Shell all the time. They called it drubbing and once done could not be undone.

Big O didn't have false memories. They had all their memories wiped and just woke up one day no memory of what happened.

No Rodger had his memories removed like everyone but his removal was incomplete so he had flashbacks and dreams that were confusing because dreams often give you memories in altered mismatched pieces.
