Anime vs Western Comics?

ever read persepolis? maus? sweet gwendoline? a history of violence? y the last man?
wouldn't exactly consider them "for teens" now, would you?

I am not trying to make any point but most of the cartoons are for teens and the number of manga meant for adults, seinen are way more than comics.

I grew up with both.. manga/anime and comic/cartoon, but somewhere along the way comic/cartoon fade away and dissapear, because at that time Goku is more appealing than Spiderman to me

I really thought Goku can never be high enough as a spiderman.
