I rarely give 10 points. Anyway this is my top rate anime : 5 centimeter per second, grave of fireflies, evangelion, another, monster, ghost hound, macross SDF, death note, samurai champloo, scrapped princess

No it's like if I have to give an actual number it'd be 10 but it's more like 9.6 or 9.7...

Well hopefully you would come across an anime which you would give 10 , without a second thought.

Sequel movie is releasing in Jan so we'll be able to watch it in June or July and if we are lucky, a second season is announced.

I am not looking forward to the movie.
I don't think the story progresses too much in a movie.

Nope last 2-3 years anime movies usually adapt significant portion of a manga or adapt an entire volume of a light novel.

The KonoSuba movie for example adapts volume 5 of the novel, No Game No Life movie adapted volume 6 and the upcoming Demon Slayer movie is gonna adapt an entire arc from the manga.

I can usually find some fault with even the best anime I like, and so I have only ever rated one anime a 10, and that one was pure perfection imo. Amazing music, amazing story, funny, made me ugly cry several times, and a powerful msg that I am still doing my best to take to heart to this day; That one was A Place Further Than the Universe / Sora yori mo Tooi Basho.

Haven't seen Violet Evergarden yet, but it is on my shortlist. As for sad... ugly crying doesn't have to come from sadness. It can come from jsomething immensely moving you on an emotional level as well.
