Shangri-la actually aired on animax when I was new to anime and I didn't get the chance to watch it then. It looks a lot like code geass.
 
I would like to recommend JoJo's bizarre adventure man.
It would be a cool anime to watch together

We are just picking an anime with less number of episodes anyway.

I'm also recommending Bungou Stray Dogs seasons 1 and 2 along with Welcome to the NHK.
Bungou Stray Dogs is gonna get a third season this April so I'm gonna watch the 2nd season anyway(I finished season 1).

I have watched the first season.
It's an okay anime but I never thought of picking up the sequel at all

People kept saying season 2 was far better and I didn't watch season 2 for some reason so I'm gonna try it out.

I see.
Season one isn't impressive in the least. I never thought of picking up the sequel for the same reason but if it gets better, then may be I should give it a try.

Well it had impressive action animation for one plus I watched it weekly so I probably had a different experience than you did if you binge-watched it.

Well, I have watched it like 2-3 episodes a day.
It never impressed me but I never thought of dropping it either
 
if we limit one anime per person, we don't have to choose from so many anime.
it's a recommendation for future selections
