Anime powers, weapons, attacks having names

lol it never bothered me but recently i crack up when i hear them getting yelled out loud
may be i don't see their appeal any longer. thoughts?

Having a name for a technic when training is cool but shouting what you are about to do when fighting is super stupid.

After watching shows that don’t do that, and you see one that does, it can feel a bit cringe.

Especially when it’s in Engrish.

I actually enjoy the names and a lot of times they seem to help keep the viewer in line with the goals and training happening in the series. Granted, the most important part is how they are implemented and ensuring they fit into the genre and storyline.

Sometimes it's funny. I am kinda used to it.

No issues with names, but explaining your attack most of the time is a pet peeve.

Half of the point of anime is the exaggeration. Shouting an attack name at the top of your lungs fits this concept perfectly, because nobody in the right mind would do this in reality. I enjoy it, as it reminds me that I'm in escape mode. Let me enjoy my fantasies of world domination...
