Thanks so much..honestly you don't know how much it means. Sometimes you really just need to hear it from someone.
I'm trying my best but am so fearful for teen ages. Trying to gather as much info as possible to be able to help them down the right path

Actually teenage is the most vulnerable time. You should take proper care in this time.

Thanks...I just don't wana over do it so that they shut me out...I'm trying to keep a border of friend/mom but not sure if it's working..kinda frustrating sighss

Exactly, even as a girl my parents were really overboard strict and I couldn't handle it as i couldn't even share anything with any of them.
That's what i am trying to avoid

The best thing is that you actually know that it's not good to be too strict. The main problem with our parents' generation is that they did not knew upto how much extent they should be strict.
 
i think probably the teenage
it can make or break a person and you need to be careful and observe them and guide them

I suppose that's true but I mean being a parent isn't a walk in the park...even our parents would have had a first time and I'm sure that they would have been scared as well. I'm not trying to bash anyone..just trying to be able to avoid making my kids feel the way I did and having a negative influence...I can't tell you how grateful I am that you are sharing on this topic with me
