A little bit thought about OPM

First of all i haven't seen OPM so i could be wrong.

Sometimes i see video clips about OPM on YouTube. From what i see they have good character design (i'm not talking about Saitama), especially the antagonists. So i always have this thought.. it's kinda wasted that cool looking characters like that use on anime like OPM, they deserve more serious anime to have their moments and great fight.

Since OPM is comedy or parody or whatever it is, they don't need cool design character for me, just spam character like Saitama and they will be okay.

No that's stupid. What does a waste of character design even mean? They're literally just meant for use in their anime/manga. If it doesn't get used it never gets used.

They look bit too cool for OPM, they deserve a good fight and more serious anime

And I say they get that in OPM and it's better than 1000s of serious anime.

Isn't that OPM is a comedy or parody?
And for Saitama to eliminate enemy with just one punch is too absurd
Well then again i could be wrong, i never watch the series intentionally

Then you should. Thats why you don't understand it's charm.
 
OPM season 1 is literally one of the best when it comes to action animation over the last few years so perhaps you should actually watch it instead of making assumptions like these.
Plus it's not just a parody of shounen anime, it also comments on a lot of other things about society.
And yeah I also don't get this concept of "wasting good character designs".

Uh no I don't really see the analogy there.
That's the thing about One Punch Man, it's the entire point. Saitama is so powerful but so bored and has no purpose yet all these cool characters under-estimate him and see him as really dumb and weak.
