I just used it as it was what you had, but I mostly meant the subscription funding like Patreon compared to the one-time funding of sites like Kickstarter. Artists seem to have much better luck building a fanbase that subs to them versus marketing a new art piece each time.

I can see this being a good thing. A nice way to break free from corporate storytelling and let creators tell their own story. But I actually feel like Patron is a much better platform for indie writers and GoFundMe will really only work if a mainstream creator breaks off to create something new.

Not really, they seem to be doing a good job with it and it honestly might be a solid way to get caught up on the series, but anime still offers that impossible world and abilities that live-action is still not ready for.

Most movies still seem to be non-cannon and often non-good storylines which is not helped at all by the fact I normally watch the movies with the series and get all confused. So, I will go with series.

I really don't care, but I always found it a bit strange when a 40-year-old guy is at home rubbing one out to a 6-year-old anime girl. I don't care, they aren't real people, but you probably aren't getting a party invitation from me any day soon lol.

In my personal experience, anime is a male-dominated viewer base, but I have no stats to back that up.

I actually enjoy the names and a lot of times they seem to help keep the viewer in line with the goals and training happening in the series. Granted, the most important part is how they are implemented and ensuring they fit into the genre and storyline.

Never really thought about it, but I would say that it needs solid story telling and solid character-building/dev along the way to even have a chance.

I will only watch an ongoing anime if it looks REALLY good or for some reason is the talk of the internet. But these are few and far between for me.
