    Let's talk about your day!

Alright! Day four of my vacation!.... I've spent the past couple of days just recovering and resting. I've managed to pick up Savage Worlds (SWADE), and I'm truly excited that this game may finally unlock the epic Magical Girl Cat-fight battle that I have been wanting to do for-like-ever...

    I am losing hope

I can't help but to think of this: "The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb." It reads to me that you're involved in a toxic relationship with your niece. She sees you as an Automatic Teller Machine that she can use whenever she needs to. This is a one-way...

    Let's talk about your day!

Well, I've had an interesting week. I thought I was going to loose my forum because I couldn't afford to pay the web hosting fees for another year. But a true generous heart came through and now we don't have to worry about loosing our digital home. I have learned more than I ever needed to...

    Can you marry for money?

No. Because you'll end up being exploited. If you're marrying simply to have access to your spouse's financial access, there's no love there, and because there's no love, you'll probably end up being mistreated. Think about it this way. That money attracted you. That money also attracts any...

Trying to survive but only barely

Indeed, the food discount is one of the only benefits that keeps me where I'm at. We get to buy things at cost, and it's bulk, so it's initially expensive, but like 50 pounds of sugar easily lasts me three months, with heavy baking. 15 dozen extra large eggs lasts me about four months (yeah...

    Do you get sleepy often?

I know that I'm falling excessively asleep because my kidneys are probably shot (way too much Ibuprofen), which metabolizes Vitamin D, B12, and releases a hormone that instructs your bone marrow to make more red blood cells. I've taken the excessive Ibuprofen because I think I also have...

    Zombie apocalypse

The problem with living in a Hyper-Individualistic-Capitalistic nation, is that you must be able to lean on only yourself. I've lived for 50 years. And during that time, every time I've needed help, asked for help, begged for help, I got let down. Perhaps when the entirety of Modern...

Trying to survive but only barely

If you're in a survival situation, you need to stop everything and take a look around to see where you're at. Shelter? Food? Safety? Unfortunately, we live in a modern society that requires money to operate. That means exchanging your time for money. So what are your skills that you can...

    I got a job \(^-^)/

Congratulations! I know just how stressful the job hunt is in 2026...and 2025...and 2024.... and 2023..... I think I'm doomed. LOL. But I'm glad you're able to secure much needed income!

    Zombie apocalypse

I seriously don't think we're going to make it to November at this rate.

    Let's talk about your day!

Doctor referred me to a Rheumatologist. I attempted to get an appointment. Was told that the doctor has to review my case to see if I qualify, or some crap. All of my symptoms are pointing toward Chronic Kidney Disease on the light end, on the worst end, Kidney Failure. I've also got...

Adults only , thoughts about cheating

No. That's sinking to a lower level. Sometimes you don't want to fight fire with fire. Sometimes, you need to douse it water or dirt.

What was your favorite subject in school?

I really enjoyed learning about other cultures, different geography, and mythologies from around the world.

Adults only , thoughts about cheating

It's simple. Insecurity and fear. People that cheat know that if they're cut loose, they have to survive on their own. Nobody to exploit.

What do you think of people consider themselves as anime fans or anti anime fans after watching just one anime and never picking up another?

That's like picking up a book and saying you're anti-book because you tried to read Gone With the Wind or something because it was raved about 50 years ago. As @Ravenfreak mentioned, you gotta find the genre you vibe with. I mean, I love weird stuff. I was introduced to anime this way...

Can we do a group watch or group read again?

I'd love to, but my schedule is probably too unusual right now, as I've only got Thursdays and Fridays off from work. I don't get home until 20:00 (8:00 pm) and I have to eat and go straight to bed afterward. So, until my employment situation changes, I can't. 😔

Is AI getting out of hand?

This is just more proof that computers will never be able to fully replicate human creativity.

Do you think kids in anime grow up fast?

True. But let's also look at the flip side. I enjoy anime more than I enjoy comic's made into movies/shows, because of the absurdity that anime embraces. Western comic-book superheroes are fairly serious-- sure there's humor, but it's different, it's not as... immature. And I think it's that...

Do you think kids in anime grow up fast?

But I see the point that @DarkAngel is saying. Anime children have those responsibilities thrust upon them. I mean, it does make an interesting story, the characters need conflict, and sudden responsibility is an easy internal conflict to build characters with.

Is AI getting out of hand?

You have to pay really close attention to the imagery. I have the stance that I automatically don't trust anything I see until I can verify it with like three other sources. And no, I don't trust any mainstream media news outlet anymore either. They've all been bought out by billionaires or...
