Let's talk about your day!

It's been a good day. I took the weekend off.
I started feeling sick yesterday but I am feeling better today. My partner got me cheesecake and pizza and a few nice gifts.
I have a lot of contradictory thoughts but I am glad to have been given the grace to been allowed one more trip around the sun.

Happy Wednesday everyone! It's the middle of the week, just a few more days until it's the weekend again! This week has been a strange one for us at work, there was a watermain break near the post office so Monday we apparently only had a little bit of work left over from the weekend, and yesterday we didn't have any work for most of the day so I got to sit around and listen to music and get paid for it lol. We had more work today and it lasted us all day so that was good.

Happy Friday!
I had to work so I am still recovering from staying up. I have been trying to tweak stuff for my streams as my vtube model and twitch redeems are not in speaking terms right now. :ROFLMAO: I have been getting too into it and not sleeping enough despite working through the week. I hope tonight I can break the trend and have a well needed rest. Haha.

Good evening everyone. My day was a bit rough, we were told that my job will be laying off some people. We don't know when, and we don't know who is going to be laid off. Someone was also fired today for her attendance, so they're really cracking down on things. I'm a bit nervous, I do meet and exceed expectations and my attendance is good so I hope I'll be okay.

Good afternoon, I had a much better day today than I did a few weeks ago. I got recognition at work today and it was a productive day for me.

i don't like anything these days lol and the days had gotten longer without even me noticing it
I'm sorry things have been tough for you lately. I hope you can find happiness again soon. One day you will I just know it, sometimes life throws us curveballs but we have to keep trucking. My day was good, I have a feeling though Friday and Saturday are going to be rough since two people who typically run a certain machine are going to be on vacation so I'll probably have to run it at least one of those days if not both.

These past few days haven't been so great. I've been sick for almost a week now with Covid, and I was sent home early from work yesterday and was told not to return until I am symptom free. I no longer have any sick time to cover the time I missed the past couple days, so I'm not sure what's going to happen when I am able to return to work. (Which hopefully will be tomorrow.) I just hope since I never had any attendance problems in the past that they will just let me off with a warning and that's it but I hope this doesn't affect when they lay off people in the future.

i am so sorry
how is your health now?

Well, a bit of good news, finally!
The medication I'm on after seeing the Rheumatologist has helped a lot. I've been taking this Indomethacin ER 75 mg for about two weeks now and the majority of my pain in my feet has vanished. Most days, I'm hovering between a 3 and a 5 on a scale of 10 for pain. Prior to using this medication, I was suffering with 7+. Although, I'm still very sluggish and feel like I'm fighting an underwater current any time I have to walk longer than a couple minutes, I'm really happy that the pain has diminished.

And it looks like I may be getting my creative energy back too. I've worked on my forum for the first time in months, starting last week. I imagine it won't be too much longer before I have the energy reserves available to start role playing again-- I'm super excited about that possibility. And speaking of role playing, I'm still chugging away at creating my own role playing system. This week, I'm tackling the Archetypes and Skills piece, now that I have the core Dice Mechanic nailed down. It won't be long before I can start having the system play tested and begin getting feedback. While I haven't made any firm decisions yet, I'm thinking about releasing the Core Book at something cheap, like $5.00, regardless if I get art added. I'll be crowdfunding that to pay for the artists I contract out. I've already got two other expansion books in mind too, but I'm not going to get ahead of myself.

Speaking of art, I'm totally wanting to redo my website banner. I've got an image in my head, which I've described on my forum's News section. The quick and dirty of it is: It involves Chibi characters and role playing dice, and expresses the typical chaotic energy associated with both of those devices. You've been warned!

Other news. A couple weeks ago, I applied for a job that was literally around the corner from where I live. A ten minute walk. Well, I didn't hear anything back from that job-- until a couple days ago, when the same job appeared on my Indeed feed (oh, god, I made a rhyme!), so I re-applied. I'm not really expecting anything, because this is Indeed we're talking about, the reputation of this job search service has been circling the toilet for a while now, but I'm hoping to at least receive an email, either outright rejecting me, because let's face it, nobody really wants to hire a 50 year-old, experienced or not, and granted, that experience is like 20 years old. Or better yet, I get invited to do an interview!

So about the job: It's a call center job. I'm a bit leery of it because that means Quotas and probably micromanagement will come attached, but it's a desk job, which I desperately need-- and the pay starts at $21/hour-- a vast improvement over the $17 I'm making now. I might actually be able to start paying off the creditors that I've had to ignore for years-- imagine that. I can finally start answering my phone again, only to deal with the call scammers now instead. Good thing I don't even own a car to worry about Renewing my Extended Car Warranty!
