will you lose your fondness?
i think so lol. i have seen people claiming their affection would never diminish but i don't agree. thoughts?

It depends. I have some characters I think I'll think of them fondly as I have even after years of watching their anime, because of the impact their lessons had or their personality. I still would buy merchandise from them if I see any even if it has been decades since I saw their works.

I
be held onto my care for Fate Testarossa since about 2011 when I first watched Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha. Even for Skuld, before Fate, still has a place in my heart. In fact, thinking about it, so does Ayeka from Tenchi Universe/Muyo!. Although, I would say that care has faded a little with each character I pile onto my heart.

Hrmmm, nah, I think we all lose a bit of interest and move on after awhile.
lol it's not just me

that's true kay
but don't you think it's harder to impress you now after watching a lot of anime?

i think having care after a decade is impressive. i watched naruto in 2005 i think. now i think it's alright but i am no longer impressed lol

I am not going to deny that. Haha. Some material just doesn't survive a rewatch because the parts that I could brush out before or I minimized with the rose-tinted glasses are now a lot more noticeable. Like certain gag jokes or badly written plots with big holes or when they just break the character personality to fit the plot.

But also, in congruence with my original statement, there have been a few others that make me feel a new-found appreciation, when they made it look easy to have such a vibrant characters, such a deceptively easy to follow plot and pacing. Because since then I've seen countless trying to emulate them and falling very short.
