Yaoi vs Yuri?

I hate Yuri less. Not the genre in general as some are really nice like Tamen De Gushi, but then again there are so many idiotic ones that are just too ecchi if not borderline hentai.

I prefer yuri, simply because I find relationships between girls more interesting than relationships between guys.

Yup, my thoughts as well.


To answer the question though: Now this is a personal question. It really depends on the person. One isn't better than the other. Me personally, I watch yaoi and shonen-ai, but not into yuri. I tried one yuri, and it just seemed boring to me. I find that guys tend to prefer yuri and girls tend to prefer yaoi. It makes sense, two girls together seems "hot" to men, and to girls, two mean together seems "cute." Funny how yuri is seen as hot, and it's two females, and it sounds more like a manly term. But two men together seems cute, a more girly term. Although, I've met men who are straight, but like watching some yaoi due to plot and they find it artistic. Those people are fun to talk to, they have such an interesting view on things.

The plot was bland and predictable. It seemed like the show only existed to see girls together and not for a good plot. Even with yaoi, it has to have good plot for me to like it.

For every manga, there has to be a good backstory for me to get into it. Not only the Yuri or the Yaoi genres.
