Would you want an anime character to change badly and turn into a good person?

I am sure there could be instances like that based on the anime character's past.
So is there a anime character like that for you?

and there are many characters like that and i don't want them to get killed . is that too much to ask?
 
Not really if you ask me, take for instance, the character of Shishio Makoto who is a very bad one but I would never want him to be changed for any reason whatsoever because I love him the way he is.
 
At one side i'm curious to see what if Frieza becoming one of the good guy, in other side i also believe that it would ruin his character lol
 
What Shou Tucker had done with her daughter in Full metal is really a heinous act. I would like to alter his character, and give him another chance to correct his wrongdoings.
