Would you want a main protagonist to get the ultimate power in the end of the anime?

this is being overused lol and i see many people doing this which is just not good. what do you guys say to this?

It would be nice for the plot like saying the protagonist is the best in the world
But it is already being overused and I am sure many people would be against that after all this time
