Would you recognise the same voice actor in 2 different anime?

I personally wouldn't. I don't look into who voices the character and i don't think i would recognise 1 person doing different characters

Just Google it lol
That's... a very good idea. I didn't even think of that haha

So, erm. It turns out the voice actor for Akame is also Isla in Plastic Memories... 2 of my favourite series

zoro's voice in one piece is present in gintama too and i forgot that character name
I wish i had noticed about Akame and Isla. I feel it would've meant more to me if i'd realised

I don't think i'll look into it again. I just happened to google it and notice but it won't bother me

oh i see
i do understand and usually i have high expectations for such anime characters which got the same voice actor

I do it all the time. Some actors will voice multiple characters in different shows who sound exactly the same, so those are super obvious to me

It's not something i can notice. But then again i can spot voices in american cartoons easy. maybe i don't take so much notice because i'm reading subtitles

I think it’s a combination of that, and it being in a foreign language. So you’re understandably paying more attention to the subs than the acting. You’d have to train your ear to recognize the actors, or keep hearing the same ones over and over to point them out.

Not all of them, but some of the more prominent VAs I have been starting to recognize. And I almost exclusively watch subs, so there's that as well.
