one of my friends did that and the partner stormed off.
even i didn't expect my friend to do it.
then i thought would anyone else find it weird

Nope because I'm loyal to my wife and I wouldn't kiss another woman, especially not in front of her. I can understand why your friend's partner got mad and stormed off.
