Will there ever be a day when people start trusting anime ratings just like movies?

There are many people who trust most of the movie ratings we have in various websites.

Do you think it can be applied to anime as well?

Most of the movie ratings sometimes are manipulated. Its simply user to entice viewers to purchasing it, or viewing it too. You'll only clear your view if the rating is worth it when you watch the movie. Even in animé movies at times it is over rated, to appeal people buying and watching it.

I think the problem has to do with the reviewers themselves. The big YouTube personalities are usually either comedic, trash, or take themselves way too seriously. With the latter, they learn some film or literary jargon, but don’t actually learn what they mean, so they just slap them together incoherently into their review and just make it a word salad.

Well, in most cases people tend to prefer movies more often than they do with anime. In fact, when i questioned some people, they told me anime is for kids, which is why they don't value its ratings more.
