Why is it that new psychological shows have evil girls ?

Why is it that the newer psychological shows have evil girls and we don't get anything like Kaiji or Liar game?

I have been wondering about this for a while.
What do you guys think, could be the reason?
 
Isn't that cool man?
I have seen Kaiji and it's very cruel. I wouldn't be able to stomach live adaptation to it.
 
*before you read this i'm not being sexist i'm just speaking from an ex Marketing perspective*

I think the creators of the animes just expect people to prefer female evil characters in general. On Facebook groups i'm in a lot more people post their favorite girls 50 times a day and never the boys, and the creative teams probably notice this. In the least sexist way possible, i believe they think more people would watch a show with a strong female evil character to a show with full male casts

It's the sad state of anime these days from what i see in the online community. More people post about Nezuko compared to Tanjiro, Rukia to Ichigo etc.

That's pretty detailed man.
I think you are right. Many people like more female antagonists or just strong characters who are female.

Me too and I like my Vampire Knight a lot as well, despite it being my little obsession to vampires.

Okay so.. about evil girl, i think they have somekind of charm, and also it's refreshing. I think.. older anime rarely put female as 'the bad guy' and this happened for a long time, when this is getting tiring and someone inovating by put female as 'the bad guy' and it's work, it become new wave of trend, and evil lady is not that rare anymore

only because she forgave the antagonist? that's a little hard to believe and normal people wouldn't do that. lol
