Why do you think main protagonist never change?

i know it's a stupid question
but what if the main protagonist changes? wouldn't it be more interesting? i want to see it

What do you mean by main protagonist change? Isn't it all about the main protagonist? How can an anime continue without a main protagonist?

I don't want a main protagonist to switch places with another character. I can't imagine it

i wanted naruto to die and shikamaru to become the main protagonist of that series.

As a main protagonist, he is very bland. I don't think anyone would want him to be the main protagonist of Naruto

Like I said before, it's not interesting to me. I don't even follow replacing the main character in the first place
 
There's no point in following someone's journey for a long time only to see them getting killed off, I'd rather the series end there itself. Also I like Naruto so I don't mind. He had a great emotional journey.
 
Ah.. yes this is a great idea from you Mrs.Angel, yes i like this concept so much. But unfortunately this concept is rarely used, i only know 20th Century Boys use this formula
