Why do people want more death in anime?

Many people were disappointed by Neji's death in Naruto.
Yet, that want more death in anime. What do you guys think of it?

They think it looks more realistic
In a battle they should be more deaths and in Naruto, you don't see that

because there isn't much and just that's how it is
and we need some death in anime to be realistic

But just saying that it could have been different if its for the plot alone.

but death alone can be hard to take when there is no correct meaning behind it and if it's just to make the mc more powerful like ace's death
