Why do people want more death in anime?

Because some people are bloodthirsty and want to see death hahahaha...

Okay, so my answer is half joke and half serious. Personally i prefer small quantity of high quality death that can improve the overall story of a series. But there is also certain time when i just want to see death, death, death and more death hahahaha..

Some people just prefer darker stuff than others I suppose. There are some seriously messed up and dark anime out there which a lot of people cling to while others may try to stay far. I guess it depends on a person's choice and personality really.

It's not that people want to see death, but if you go to a war and only one very important person dies, then that's not doing a story very well.

I want happiness, fluff and romance in anime, I can’t stand seeing anyone die in anything at all.

that's cool naiwen
me too and i can't stand it much but i don't mind sad beginnings and very happy endings

To have a sense of stakes. If you have a long series with multiple battles that are potentially life-threatening and having zero consequences then there's no tension and thrill when shit goes down. That's why Fairy Tail doesn't hold up, at all.

I don't care about death man.
But if it's an action series, we need it to make a series more interesting.
