Why can't we buy de-materialized version of anime?

is there a way to buy only certain episodes in an anime?
and not the whole series? i don't think it's allowed in general. what do you guys think?

This. I don't think there's ways of buying single episodes of anything to be honest

then it's all cool but these days i only see complete sets lol. not that i am buying or anything.

Yeah, I think 95% of the population just streams their anime these days.

Not physically, but digitally you can.

I don't know. I just got given the password to the account, and my friend pays for it. XD But standard Crunchyroll Premium membership is apparently $7.99 a month?

Waste of resources honestly. It’s like how nobody releases physical album singles anymore.

and you are right about that. but still when you like something a lot, you would want to have it as a physical copy.

People who have the attachment to a physical copy tend to want the whole show instead of just a couple episodes.

and usually i like some episodes only and those i want a physical copy as i can't afford too much
