Why are there no Korean characters in Japanese anime?

is that a coincidence?
or is it something else? i really never saw any korean characters in anime so far lol

Partially racism, Asians are notorious for hating other Asians. Though it’s slightly changing, as K-Pop and K-Dramas are getting popular there, also a couple of anime adaptations of manwa got anime adaptations, so you could say those characters are Korean?

Tbh a lot of their shows take place in Japan, and when you have a country that’s 95% the same race, you don’t get a lot of racial diversity in your shows. For the Western style shows, Western stuff’s been introduced in Japan since the late 1800’s, so their love of Western stuff is fairly old.

I don’t remember which country you’re from, but most regions in the world have a lot of racism or friendly banter about it. Also different parts of America react differently to different races. When I lived in Europe for a few years, it was hilarious hearing them publicly trash talking about people from other countries. I lost count of how many times in England I heard them say “I can’t believe how black people are treated in America”, “well tell me your thoughts on the Welsh and Pols” “well they’re not human”.

It’s weird seeing how people react to black people in other parts of the US, particularly in states that don’t have black people. I grew up in the South, so seeing black people is an every day thing, until I went to parts of the Midwest where there’s a 1% black population. It was really weird hearing people talk about black people like they’re a mythical being. “I heard that black people do blah blah blah”. It’s like bruh, they’re people.

yeah and they don't realize they hurt people in the process
sorry and being a black woman i take these things to hurt and am sure people call me whiny but getting treated equally is not too much to ask.

I want real equality, not this weird stuff that Twitter and Tumblr are trying to push where they want white people to be treated as second class citizens, and give freebies to minorities. “We need separate but equal facilities... I mean SAFE SPACES for minorities to be separated from white people”. Uh... didn’t we do that already and it didn’t go over well?

That and I love seeing people using Marxist theories of oppression, but ignore the biggest part of Marxism, class struggle. Let’s push out policies that only apply help out middle to upper class people, but not actually help out the poor.

that's true
and i highly doubt it will be done. those things are just for dreams and theories and in reality, they are far from getting and helping people
