Why are some Manga impossible to get hold of?!

I like physical copies and i've recently been building my collection

I cannot from Akame Ga Kill Volume 2 OR Happy Sugar Life Volume 1 ANYWHERE!!

Is there a reason some are hard to get hold of even though the rest of the Manga is readily available?

Even second hand manga isn't available?
I've tried searching around, i'm just going to keep an eye on depop, eBay etc. if not it looks like a Facebook post will be happening to see haha!

Some stuff I guess is out of print, especially with the pandemic distribution issues happening.

Took me forever to get a copy of the light novel vol 2 of Toradora that wasn’t being scalped. It’s not that old.

I was actually in a shop at the weekend that said the US had a paper shortage. That could be the reason

I'm just desperate to get these

There’s a ton of shortages of random stuff here, it’s weird. That and people are scalping just about everything on the second hand market.

Well you say that. The UK ran out of toilet paper last year
I think it's dependent on what paper they use. I've seen enough of the Office to know that manga paper is different to printer paper

Digital is cool. But IMO nothing beats just having a collection of manga in paper form.
I don't get the same feeling from digital
