i don't get this. they think of killing, doing drugs, drinking in secret, getting into real gang fights. is that how it is in Japan? i didn't think it's that bad.

There are very few people like that in very few places, though I think it is mostly made up for the series's sake.

I think people mature quickly if they are forced to take on family business like finance and support. One of my friends had to drop out of college to work.

they don't look made up to me. i know people are different in every country but in anime, we find the worst people. what series came to your mind?

That is terrible... It is just sad when family forces people to pursue any certain kind of job which they don't want to. It's cool if they decide to do it themselves though...
High school and such are important if you belong to an average working family with average skills. Nothing wrong with that but I have seen people who dropped out and ended up regretting it... Well, they still learnt good lessons though, helps to have an wider mindset in longer run I believe. I think this is why a lot of people are looking for people with more experiences for any kind of work.

It's sad but true. In many places all around the world kids younger than even 18 years are not only pondering these things but also getting into them

Well, to be honest, I don't think this is found in most of the manga.
Well, high school kids are in their late teens.
So, of course they can mature :D

That's why it;s always safest to go with a high school kid when writing these types of stories.

In this world, things aren't always fair. Few people are lucky and the others don't have luxury to choose their own path

I suppose that's the truth. It would be great is we can see people from every age in anime as well.
In that way, we might attract even more anime fans :D

i read a manga where the high school kid in it is very mature and not just that, i read other manga where people get the adult nature quickly.
