Which has more viewers? Anime series or anime movies?

I would want to say Anime series here but most of the time, anime movies are pretty popular.
So what do you guys think?

Pretty sure that is anime series, since more people would have time to watch them vs a movie.

even their duration is long nowadays the anime gets 12-13 episodes and mostly and that's fine lol

does make me wonder how long people in japan sit down to watch anime.

I'd say series but it's a good argument. I know people who aren't into anime that have watched the likes of Your Name, Spirited Away, Ponyo etc

and i am sure people don't give too much time and at most probably 30 minutes or so for every episode including ads.
