Which anime had the best first episodes?

It's hard to say. Most of the anime I watched have good openings or else people would drop them right away.
All the mainstream anime got the best first episodes.
 
So hard to say for me. I still recall a friend burning the first 20ish episodes of Naruto a bit before it hit America for me. I still have to say that first episode is what sold me on Naruto and I watched part 1 and most of part 2 over the years.

Yup that was i felt. There's no plenty of action in the first episode, i was craving for some actions back then. The reason why i keep going with yu yu hakusho is because i know the series will be better later

lol it couldn't have left you with disappointment
back then it's the best series and i loved those intense fights. all the protagonists were equally handsome too
