It didn’t feel like too long ago when Bleach and Naruto were the cancer of anime, but now all the people that grew up with them are the majority of the community, so now they’re considered good.

people always dislike the popular anime
but they still watch it lol. and even one piece got some haters as well. but you are right, things change a lot

There were many interesting communities back then with lots of intellectual debates.
