When it comes to anime... does age matter to you?

Do you judge anime based on the age?
Sometimes I do that if the anime is really old like 1990s or so. What about you guys?

Early 90s or before might leave me hesitant, but I always watch for the story.

I wouldn't want to watch an anime, that's too old
2000s anime would be in my ideal selection and anything prior to that would be me taking a gamble with it.

Age does not matter to me. Some of the best series to me are from the early 80s.

It can put me off to a certain degree, yeah. It's often not really due to the anime itself but just the overall poor quality, like compressed audio and blurry images etc.

That would be stupid for me lol i grow up with anime from 70's, 80's, 90's and early 2000's

Not always but sometimes it matters to me.
There are plenty of anime with good story but old and the same goes to trash anime with new animation too.

Looks like it's not just me, who wouldn't want to pick an old anime here.
I don't like if anime got old animation, no matter how good the story is for that anime
