When did anime start getting shorter (Ex: Going from 50 episodes on average to 12)

I will have to search for it and I will have to find out when the 25 episodes anime started getting popular back in the day

Its just people don't have the patience to watch long series anymore.
They want everything to end quickly and they don't care about other stuff like quality now.

I would say in 20s and around that time, there aren't many anime getting too many episodes like Detective Conan and One piece. Even Boruto doesn't have as many episodes as these two anime.
