What's your opinion of when an anime gives a character a backstory right before they die?

what do you think?
i think it's totally unfair. would you all agree with me?

So I can't be very sure about that. The backstory should be given upfront

but do you like them when they give that after the character died gem? i don't like it.

I prefer to know the backstory earlier. Doesn't have to be at the beginning but preferably before the death scene.

There is no if about it. I am sure that's why we are not given that backstory first.

Exactly but maybe it's a way to get us, the viewers to sympathize with the dieing villain..kinda like mind tricks

but sometimes you need to understand that everyone was a child once and they were innocent once.
