What's so wrong about watching Anime on Netflix?

so what do you think?
is that so bad even for you? why is that? or does it not make a difference to you at all?

It's not wrong.
They have the correct subscriptions. Why not and Cruncyroll and why Netfleix?

Nothing? Unless the subs are not translated well you may as well watch it. No ads, high quality image, etc.

that's cool madara
but some people think anime should be watched only in official released websites.

Anime that are there in Netflix are made by actual studios. Netflix either contracted them or licensed them for streaming.

I think what people dislike about it is when anime are Netflix-exclusive, and they are forced to buy and entire subscription just to be able to watch a very select amount of anime (since Netflix is not a large player in the field of anime, afaik). There's nothing inherently wrong with Netflix purchasing and offering anime, but unless they expand their offer, them leveraging it as a way to get people to buy subscriptions is rather annoying to people who are only interested in the anime portion of it. But yeah... that' s how a business works, unfortunately. =/

Outside of someone complaining because they need a subscription to another streaming platform, I’ve seen some of the hatred because of gate keeping reasons. Like only weabs have Crunchy or Funi subs, but normies also have a Netflix subscription, because it’s a crime for normies to have access to their sacred hobby.

The annoying thing isn't that they have exclusive streaming rights, it's that they don't air them weekly meaning the conversation isn't there in the core seasonal anime community and sort of gets lost in the shelf without any word of mouth. And Netflix doesn't exactly put anime on their front page a lot of times leading them to disappear and forgotten. Plus I have seen a lot of complaints about subs not being accurate or dubs being below par but I can't say anything for sure about either one.

Only the shows dubbed by Netflix are sub par, the stuff dubbed before are fine. I haven’t seen enough shows to properly give an evaluation on the sub quality, but I also don’t trust people who don’t know Japanese on sub quality, unless it’s just bad engrish translations based on “complaints” I’ve seen in the past.

I don't think there really is any problem, but I can totally see a small portion of people finding reason to be elitist over what streaming platform they use.

If I'm able to get the point I'm fine with whatever sub is there. I think comedy is the toughest one but so far it has worked out fine in general.

Back during the fansub group wars of days past, they’re all like 95% the same anyway, and the 5% difference isn’t usually worth kicking up a fuss. Unless the sub makes me question if the translator knows English, I’m usually not bothered by sub quality.

I don't see any problem with it. I've always subscribed to netflix, nowtv, CR and funimation so it doesn't bother me
