What makes you like a support character more?

many of us like support characters more than the main protagonists in many anime.
is it because they are overrated?
 
It's hard to determine man.
Support characters are good and the main protagonists are good too
 
i never thought it's that hard to determine.
but now i understand it a little. it's a little confusing. why would people not like the main protagonist more?
 
Killua, easily. I don't like Gon. He's uninteresting and bland whereas Killua actually has a personality. And a lot of characters from Naruto outshine Naruto.

there weren't any people who can use talk no jutsu like naruto

other characters wouldn't be able to convince like naruto
that's bad news and many people might die if he is not the main protagonist

And? That merely means he's a McGuffin who's used as a means to drive the plot forward, not a character I'd like. You know like an actual person.

i understand
but i still think without him there would be too much bloodshed. but he was not able to save many people

I'm not saying I dislike him but all of those are plot-related and not character related.

That was my Disqus username way back in 2012 and Madara wasn't introduced yet so nobody else had it as their name.

you can change your name here. why do you keep on using it? i don't think you have ever changed your username
 
i don't quite get it
but as long as you want to have it, only it matters. i don't think many people especially staff changes their names here

I personally don't think there's any point to it and it leads to nothing but confusion.
