What is important in an anime? What makes an anime good?

I believe that would be the story and character development.
Sometimes it could be animation too. So, what about you guys?

Animation is deffo important, I can forgive a lackluster story/characters/etc if the art is really really good.
Story/characters would come next, with music following after.

i would say something that attract your attention is always good lol
and there is no other way to it. anime is always like that.
