What do you think of people consider themselves as anime fans or anti anime fans after watching just one anime and never picking up another?

like just one anime could give them all the information they need lol
i think it's just bs. thoughts?

I think it's BS too. You have to watch multiple anime to get a feel for the genre. There's weird shows in every type of media, anime isn't the exception lol.

That's like picking up a book and saying you're anti-book because you tried to read Gone With the Wind or something because it was raved about 50 years ago. As @Ravenfreak mentioned, you gotta find the genre you vibe with.

I mean, I love weird stuff. I was introduced to anime this way. Watching Ranma 1/2, was my first exposure to the Gender-Bender genre. Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha was my first official Magical Girl show, despite enjoying Tenchi Muyo (could be classified as pseudo-magical girl) and Ah! My Goddess, magical girl adjacent. But yet, I've bounced off of popular anime for various reasons.
