What do you think is currently the most influential anime and why?

I believe that would be Attack on Titan.
So, what about you guys? What do you believe is the most influential anime of all time?
 
What definition or usage of influential are we using here?

Influential to people getting into anime? Sure it did appeal to a lot of former non-anime fans and got them interested in anime.

Influential to anime? Well not really, or at least yet. There aren’t many series out that are influenced by Attack on Titan. Compare Attack on Titan’s influence on anime that came after compared to Fist of the North Star/Dragonball for battle anime, Haruhi for light novels, and SAO for isekai’s. Then there’s Evangelion which influenced a lot outside of just mecha anime.

If you look at it from that perspective, it pales in comparison.
 
I would agree AoT has been pretty influential in regards to making anime more popular. I don't think I'd consider it one of the most influential animes of all time though, but I also don't think I've watched enough of the classics to come up with better suggestions.
 
I think.. there is no new thing in AoT that would influence anime series in the future, but if you talk about popularity then yes, it certainly popular

if so what is it and let us hear it? i can't really pick one anime lol. what about you?
