What are your thoughts on anime becoming mainstream?

After Crunchyroll got really popular in 2013, anime in general got pretty mainstream. Isekais are ridiculously popular nowadays as well.

I like anime becoming more popular in the mainstream. Makes it more socially acceptable to enjoy in public, and makes it easier to find people to talk about it with. Before, most open anime fans were people you didn’t want to associate with, and online wasn’t much better.

Over here it's still the same.
I don't know any anime fans outside of my family. I can't really talk to anyone about anime here.

Any Isekai recommendations for me please? Hankering for some to binge lately.

Usually Log Horizon and Sword art online are good, Naiwen.

It kind of kills me a bit at how popular Isekais are these days.

It has uts ups and downs. I like that thete is more appreciation for Anime and the classics are having a second opportunity, like Neo Genesis Evangelion being on Netflix. And the industry in general having more investment. It's sad that the people working on them can be some of the mist overworked and underpaid, from what I've heard.

and i feel so sorry about them now. i wish i couldn't help them out but i got no skills at all and even ace said this is all hard work

I don't pretty much care
It's only a label and it can change anytime. I don't have anything against mainstream anime.
