Do you know much anime?
I am sure there are many anime like that. I do believe Boku no inai Machi and other such anime are very popular.

Too many to count. There’s a few every season that people talk about while airing, then months later just fade off the face of the earth.

That's true.
Only long anime are vastly remembered by others usually.

Not really, there’s plenty of short ones that are remembered. It’s really just the memorable ones. It’s like why a lot of the popular, but quickly forgotten seasonal shows are either isekais or moe shows.

I don't think anyone can forget unique anime like Psycho pass or The promised Neverland.
Or if the anime got beautiful animation, even then it's remembered, like Violet evergarden

Some are just fun like Toradora, which was one of the few non-battle related anime that was popular before Crunchyroll that somehow retained popularity, while others like Haruhi and Lucky Star kind of disappeared.

I see.
To be honest, I don't really like most of the comedy anime and I don't see what's so good about washroom jokes, nose picking and ear picking.

Sounds like you haven’t seen much of any comedy anime if that’s all you can come up with. Especially since it’s been ages since I’ve seen nose and ear picking.

Tbh every time I’ve seen you criticize comedy anime, it comes off that all you’ve ever seen was Gintama and all comedy anime is exactly like Gintama.

I have seen Gintama which is supposed to be the top most comedy anime.
I did watch Saiki Kusuo no psynen and Kyou Kara ore wa, Cromartie high school etc.,

Top most according to MAL, which most of those ratings are primarily a popularity contest to be completely honest. Also those other shows you listed aren’t popular at all, so you’re clearly not only watching what’s on MAL’s top 20 list.

Ear and nose picking has hardly been a thing for ages, so if you’re that upset over it, it’s easily avoided, as I’m honestly trying to think of shows from the past decade or so that does that...

What counts as toilet humor can vary from person to person, but you can just not watch ecchi stuff, since most of them primarily rely on that type of humor.

This harkens back to my comment in the other thread about expanding your tastes to look less uneducated if you’re going to name drop dated tropes.

Not just ear and most picking.
I don't remember these other Anime names but I am sure in most of the high school anime themes, there are washroom jokes like running out of toilet paper or water or something else, which is just gross. I hope you are getting what I am saying

I'd say Death note is a pretty good example.

even now people recommend death note to a newbie, demon
sure you must have recommended to others pretty recently and it's still the best anime got to offer.
