Watching anime series Vs watching anime movies

I prefer series most of the time.
They are great and not to mention that they have enough screentime that they would be able to build character and have complex plot lines.
What about you guys?
What do you prefer?

I'd rather watch movies, at the very least it'll have good animation. And also since films tend to be original they also don't suffer from problems TV anime adaptations generally have(the worst being characters over-explaining everything, particularly in the middle of an action sequence).

I rather have anime series, as they tend to flesh things out more than a movie which ends up in a sense being 4 episodes mashed together.

I would rather watch the movies. Takes up a bit more time than an episode might but at least you don't have to wait for another episode to release. I hate waiting for new episodes or things I like.

I see.
I suppose that's one way to see it :P

Series are good to but I prefer to sit down and take in the entire thing at once instead of having to wait for another release. I guess it really doesn't matter actually when you think about it. I can do either one unless the series has many seasons or something. Might get bored and give up

I don't understand what you meant there.
I don't care about doing justice to the manga all I care about is the anime being good. "Being faithful to the manga" is why shounen anime are flawed.
Wow did you even read what I told I'm talking about people confusing character development with narration.

Well, the art shouldn't deviate from the manga kiddo. Otherwise it would be very difficult to even identify the characters. If luffy got designed as someone resembling minato, would you be able to accept that? But still the fact and art might be good but it wouldn't do justice to manga at all.
As for narration, it is needed of course....otherwise how would you know that the character is not the same anymore eh?

I never talked about art wth. I was talking about the screenplay. How the hell did you even come to that conclusion. I was talking about cutting out unnecessary dialogues that hamper the pacing. Nobody talks in the middle of a battle, let alone explain what they are doing.
I'm talking about blatantly explaining the plot without recognising that it's a visual media. Why do you think most films don't have exposition? What if in Harry Potter they just explained to us about Quidditch, instead of actually showing that?

I mentioned that once and after that the point I stuck to was the dialogues.
You do know what Quidditch is right? It's the broomstick tournament with the balls.

Hmm.... Well I don't like monologuing too but anti protagonists tend to do that more often than not.
Oh.
I think I know that.... Don't look at me like I am brain dead or something..... But what's with that broomstick again?
