How many of you guys know that she is the one who had been voicing Luffy until now?
Looks like they will be changing the voice actress for Luffy very soon.

I haven't heard of it till now.
Well hopefully we could get someone as good as Mayumi to voice Luffy.

It's a very cheerful voice and suits Luffy a lot :D
You should hear it sometime.

But to think that she voiced Luffy is so cool. I would want to see her profile sometime
 
I'm not surprised the voice actors on this anime are starting to retire, sad the VA couldn't see it to the end. Hopefully the new one sounds similar, or the fans will rage.

you are right.
but they can't go on forever and luffy voice actor didn't change for more than 18 years. that's huge

Japan takes their VAs very seriously, situation pending they won't even replace them like they did for Kisame's VA from Naruto.

i never knew that
but why wouldn't they?
they recruited another voice actor for kizaru

the character was mostly done in the series and its hard to get an unique voice like kisame's in the japanase language.

i think i get it.
people would be too used to hear a voice from a character and they would be disappointed if it changes suddenly
