Tragic deaths in anime, video games, and manga

What are some of the most tragic deaths in an anime, video game, or manga? Ones that may bring you tears. We have all been there. You are watching your favorite anime and suddenly some character you liked gets killed. I am sure many remember Aerith. So for you which deaths hurt so much that you had a hard time dealing with?






Selan in Lufia II hit me be pretty hard. She an Maxim were a couple and had a kid and then she gets killed. I never played the first game so I did know it was coming. It was hard to continue playing after that.
 
Aerith eh.. hm.. yea i still remember Sephiroth stabbed her, but i don't feel anything about it haha.. i'm not too fond of Aerith, i'm more Tifa fans, she's cool and have more history and connection with cloud

So for video games, death of Sophia (Xenogears) and for manga death of Hiromi (I am a Hero), as for anime.. i can't remember any right now
 
Oh boy this is a heavy topic XD in Anime, the most "tragic" one was Portgas D. Ace, that was awful ToT For manga, probably Lubbock from Akame Ga Kill, the manga version of his death was so tragic D: and in games, SPOILERS! John Marston from Red Dead Redeptiom D:
 
i think kill a kill mine's death hit me hard.
it was so bad and i couldn't stop crying myself even ushio's death from clannad is very sad
 
I'll add another one. Kikyo's death in Inuyasha and Kagara's death. Also Neflite in Sailormoon. He and Molly were getting to know each other and then he died. Then in the next episode he is forgotten until a few episodes later.

that was very sad
i didn't think kagome can ever be as beautiful as kikyo and i really wanted kikyo to be when inuyasha after taking the soul from kagome

Jiraiya really hurt cause Sunade and him were getting closer and she was waiting for him to return. I think they might have become a couple plus he was one of my favorite characters.

Kikyo really did not want to get back with Inuyasha. She was mainly focused on killing Naraku. I kind of knew Kagome would end up with Inuyasha. That last moment though before she died when two shared one last kiss really hurt. It was tragic how the two were torn apart. And Kagura did have feelings for Sheshomaru and that one hurt too. She finally gets her heart back only to die. Her death though did help Sheshomaru to start caring for someone else. Kikyo's death she was able to save Kohaku. It's also sad that I don't think Kagome and Inuyasha ever kissed yet he kissed Kikyo.

i think so but i think kagome kissed Inuyasha.
i know kikyo and kagome are same but i don't think kagome is beautiful.
but i think kikyo is beautiful

I remember that scene. It was like Naruto had a father figure aside from him being pervy he was a good guy. Asuma was another tear jerker. When I first read about his death I was horrified than watching it in the anime. It was so sad. I felt so sorry for Shikamaru's team and Kurani since her daughter would never know her father.

It might be cause I'm a guy but I find Kikyo, Sango, and Kagome beautiful. I think Kagome is still young vs Kikyo who is older. Kagome may become quite beautiful in the future. Kikyo though is more refined but she is also older too. Also when Kagome put on Kikyo's priestess clothes they looked quite similar. Kagara was also quite beautiful too.

It might be cause I'm a guy but I find Kikyo, Sango, and Kagome beautiful. I think Kagome is still young vs Kikyo who is older. Kagome may become quite beautiful in the future. kikyo's skin tone is very good
but kagome looks plain and i agree kikyo having more refined features and usually people are prettier as children than as adults

After watching more of Inuyasha the Final Act, I agree Kikyo is more beautiful. Kagome's got the more child-like face. Kikyo is more refined. It's tragic that she had to die twice. I think Kagara is very pretty also. She has that more adult look.

yes and even with the same face, there are many things different between them. i really think she should have been the one to be with inuyasha.
i really hate naraku.
