Time skips are (not always) one of the most overused and lazy writing tropes in anime

what do you all think?
do you think time skip can be good for an anime or manga? i never liked one piece or fairy tail time skips.
 
They are necessary sometimes.
I am sure they are often used to show immense progress and that doesn't always work.
