then let me tag him too @demon_skeith . i haven't talked to him much and from what i see, i thought i wouldn't know the gender as it's always about anime.

But why would someone lie about their gender? Clara claims to be Itachi, but she wouldn't say that she is a boy despite that.
I never understood the point of hiding their true gender.

It's significantly less prominent than it used to be, but awhile ago forums were sausage fests, and were considered "boys clubs". So girls would pretend to be guys to be treated normally, or guys would pretend to be girls to catfish and laugh at other guys whiteknighting and hitting on them.
