If you live in the west, you will notice a social justice movement aimed not only at confronting one-on-one abuse - which is great, but also on changing society - which is often bad.  OK, well, a target of changing society might be a move against anime and manga - since so much of it is sexual - cause they hate any sexual video game stuff (Note, Japan is stereotyped as a male abusive culture.).  OK, what do you all think about this?   Are they being prudish here?

Regarding what you said.. Its kinda hazy to me as to what you wanted to say.. And that point where ya said Japan is stereotyped as male abusive culture seems umm.. Not real. 

Also, Yes you can see ecchi in animes but thats for fan service and there are many good ones without those..
 
There was a select group of people out to make video games look bad but it seems like quite the opposite for anime. Recently these type of people have been trying to get into the anime industry if you have not heard about the recent crunchy roll controversy where they're creating their own original anime series which is animated, created and voiced by all westerners yet still call it an anime which wasn't even the worst part but was when they released the trailer which showed nothing about the series and just talked about the diversity of their staff team which made a lot of people mad. Lol no it's basically Tumbler: The Anime. The art-style is more like Steven Universe than anime, or even Avatar.
What made people made was that, like Risk said, instead of talking about the anime itself, they were saying that the selling point of the anime is that the creative team is 50% men and women, the cast in the anime itself is diverse, and that the writing team is 100% women. My point of contention is them saying that the writing team is diverse, because it's only a bunch of similar looking white women. And the other thing is they should have known that it's idiotic to talk about diversity first, before even talking about the plot or the characters. I'm not white and even I understand how stupid it is.
 
There aren't many things that are misunderstood. This thread is making me wonder whether you ever watched any anime in your life or not. You are talking about hentai and not anime.
