Sometime ago, Funmiation gave the fans a rare chance to fund a new dubbing of an anime classic, The Vision of Escaflowne. Now I never watched it and found the fact that if its good enough for a redubbing it must be worth it and thus I was one of the many backers for this dubbing.
Overall I was pretty satisfied with this anime but nothing praise worthy or found it amazing. It's only 26 episodes long and during that span a lot of characters are revealed with lots of twists that aren't given much time for in depth fleshing out. I think this series could have benefited with more episodes.
Story wise its pretty good, even if the whole love thing they got going on is just a train wreck from the start. Animation is pretty good, though funimation didn't do a awesome job of reworking everything into a flawless state and the music was pretty good.
So has anyone here seen this or apart of the redub project?
