The Lion King Live-Action Teaser Trailer

So the trailer for the new live-action adaptation of The Lion King has been released. The Lion King is my favourite animated film of all time and I really liked the live-action adaptation of The Jungle Book(2017) so I'm hopeful for this, with the director of that movie returning. The trailer itself looks pretty good.
The movie releases on July 19, 2019.

Omg i didn't even know there was a remake of this. It looks so awesome.  I hope i can go see it in cinema
 


I usually avoid checking out stuff from an upcoming movie other than the teaser and the first trailer to be honest.
 
So I don't know about you but after watching this I am not impressed..I think that this was so popular because everyone wanted to see it due to how amazing Jungle book was because honestly this just doesn't cut it for me. There were so many nice parts that were removed and other which were added and don't get me started on Scar's song..geeze that was most definitely nothing to compare to the original. I honestly might have liked it more if I didn't see the original lion king but this was really disappointing to me.

I don't prefer it, it just looked pretty cool and I saw Jungle book's remake so that upped my expectations.
It's a nice movie but they even took out the piece where Rafiki hits simba with the stick..I really like that part lol

I worded it wrongly. I meant why you preferred the original over it. Looking at the trailers everything looked absolutely gorgeous, photorealistic and the VFX artists worked day and night worked extremely hard.

My concern was that photorealism. The original is colourful and the characters have a lot of facial expressions that convey their emotions whereas here everything looks so drab and lifeless. And yeah what you say slapstick has been cut out it looks like and that Raphiki stick moment is pretty good.

I guess that makes sense but the parts that were cut were some of my favourites so I'm pretty disappointed and there wasn't much new stuff either but I will let you decide on whether it's up to par for yourself..that is whenever you do decide to watch it

I'm gonna watch this and the Aladdin live-action back to back so whenever this one comes out digitally I guess.

I'm also looking forward to see Mulan's remake. hope it doesn't disappoint me
