Finished a really classic series, at least the first season as it focuses on those who ride trains out in space, as ridiculous as it sounds it was a great classic anime reminding me of Space Battleship Yamato. Though the first half is mostly character building and general build up, it's all worth it for the later episodes, which sadly leads to a really horribly done character death.
Overall I recommend this series.
