Taking tips from Manga

I have been reading a few of these now and I'm currently reading one with babysitting. My kid gives me hell for eating and so feeling defeated I ended up using a tactic found in this manga. Surprisingly, it worked like magic and even today is working again. Oh thank godness for Love so Life lol
How about you all? Ever used a tactic found in any manga and it actually worked out?

Oooh,  that's pretty cool.

I don't think I can recall a tactic in particular but manga has brought to me ideas and perspectives I hadn't considered before.

For example,  I used to think I had to be fearless to do things and I was too hard on myself because as soon as I felt the fear creep into me I thought it was "game over".

In a manga, some mentor figure tells the protagonist during training that courage is not in the absence of fear. That it is fine to feel afraid. That you have to acknowledge it. After accepting our fear we can still take that step. A person has courage because is doing something despite their own fears,  if there was not fear then they didn't need to build courage.

It might sound pretty "d'oh" now,  but it was a big revelation for me at the time. It made appreciate even more people who stood up for others and realize people that dare do things I find hard might be struggling inside too but they keep doing what they believe in. Their actions became greater to my eyes and at the same time I felt that perhaps I could build some courage too and face my obstacles.

It's cool hun..I was pretty desperate lol

It's actually not d'oh..it's a nice manner of thinking. I agree with that thought..I believe though that fear even sometimes make you stronger and encourages you more
I'm glad to hear that this worked out for you

I don't read manga all that much and I have never used any top, listed in a manga.
As slice of life genres are more relatable to real life, they can be used for certain situations :D

I guess that might be true
hmm I though you did read...i will remember that next time I make a manga thread

I haven't read many manga.
From what I know, there are interesting manga but their tips are anything else are just made up for the story

I do sometimes...but only when I am bored.
I prefer hard copy versions more than the digital versions.

Indeed.
As Shaurya collects books and manga, it's not hard for me, to get a real book to read.
